Lisouskaya's research group conducts complex research related to radiation chemistry and photochemistry at the Notre Dame Radiation Laboratory. We are conducting research on a nuclear reactor  water under high temperatures and pressures. This research explores kinetics and mechanisms of radical reactions by pulse radiolysis in order to improve the safety and reliability of nuclear power generation. Lisouskaya’s group also conducting research using the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopic method to characterize radicals derived from compounds that have applications ranging from those relevant to the nuclear power industry to photochemistry of importance in biology and medicine.
